Eye On Detroit - 4th Annual Kirk Gibson Golf ClassicKirk Gibson held his 4th annual golf classic to benefit the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson's. The event was held at the Wyndgate Country Club. Former Tiger players Dave Rozema, Alan Trammell and David Wells were in attendance. In addition to help fund the foundation, Kirk was also promoting the EvsP.org gala that will be held at the Motor City Casino on October 19th.

Eye On Detroit - Buckets of RainBuckets of Rain's primary effort is focused on growing produce in their "Big Glen" garden in Highland Park, a neighborhood in Detroit. It is less than a mile from 4 large homeless shelters. Since 2012, "Big Glen" has produced hundreds-of-thousands of servings of fresh produce for the rescue missions and residents within the local community. By 2020, they aim to produce 500 thousand servings of fresh vegetables per season. This will require about 5 acres in continuous production and 5 full time seasonal employees.
