Detroit Grand Prix Files For Return To Downtown Detroit In 2023

(CBS DETROIT) - The streets of Detroit may soon have race cars flying by on them as the Detroit Grand Prix is proposing a return to Downtown Detroit.

For those who don't remember, the popular racing event actually started Downtown back in 1982 and has been on Belle Isle since 2012.

If Detroit City Council approves, it would likely return in 2023.
