Southwest Airlines Is Cutting Pay For Some Workers To Avoid Layoffs

(CBS DETROIT) – Southwest airlines is cutting pay for some workers to avoid layoffs.

The airline says it will cut pay by 10 percent for non-union workers.

CEO Gary Kelly is also giving up his base salary through 2021.

Southwest is asking unions to agree to pay cuts in order to avoid more furloughs.
