Whitmer Orders Flags To Lower To Sivad Johnson, Veteran Detroit Firefighter Who Drown Trying To Save Three Girls
(CBS Detroit ) - Governor Whitmer orders the lowering of state and u-s flags to honor sergeant Sivad Johnson on Saturday.
Johnson's funeral will also be held on Saturday.
The 49-year-old is being remembered as a hero after trying to save three girls from drowning in the Detroit river last week.
Johnson served the Detroit fire department for 26 years.
