(CBS Detroit ) – At least 4,600 Michigan prisoners have tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the Department of Corrections, five department staff and an officer have died from COVID-19.

And 68 prisoners have also died.

Roughly 3,600 prisoners have recovered but over 500 are currently fighting the virus.
