Michigan Tourism Industry Hit Due To Pandemic, Awaiting Funding

(CBS DETROIT) - Michigan's tourism industry is another industry taking a beating from the pandemic.

The state's travel and tourism advertisement campaign known as Pure Michigan says despite big crowds at beaches, many are still reluctant to travel.

One employee says with the fate of schools still up in the air in many places, now is the best time to take a trip.

Dave Lorenz hopes funding for Pure Michigan will be approved by October, so the industry can recover in time for next year.
