Reading Works Looks To Help Detroiters Fill The Unemployment Gap Through Literacy, Foundational Skills

Southfield (CW50) - Reading Works was formed as an umbrella organization to bring awareness to dramatically low literacy rates in metro-Detroit and to support the work of community-based organizations. They identify the most effective adult education service providers in the community and collaborate with local employers to turn foundational skills training into real workforce opportunities.

Marita Grobbel, Executive Director of Reading Works, joins Lisa Germani on COMMUNITY CONNECT this Saturday to discuss how Reading Works continues to serve the unemployed in Detroit develop the skills they need for employment.
