Brooke Mueller Checks Herself Into Trauma Center

(CNN) -- Brooke Mueller has checked into a trauma center amid her struggle with sobriety, her representative told CNN.

"Brooke voluntarily checked herself into a trauma center on the East Coast and is working hard to get well. Like millions of people know, sobriety is a daily challenge," Steve Honig said.

Mueller was married to and shares 10-year-old twin boys with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Their children are currently being cared for by their grandparents, reports People.

The actress has a previous history of substance abuse and rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, TMZ caught up with Sheen in Beverly Hills, who said he was glad Mueller is getting the help she needs.

"She's right where she needs to be," he said. "The kids are great, they're not involved in anything she's doing. I hope she gets the help she needs. It doesn't look like she's having fun. We're here when she reaches out, she knows where to find us."
