CW50 Street Team Stops By the 35th African World Festival

Music, storytelling and great food would be the best way to describe the atmosphere of the 35th Annual African World Festival. Thousands of people came together to check out vendors tables, listen to storytelling, dance and who could forget the food. There were vendors who traveled from all over the country to showcase their art pieces, clothing, artifacts, and much more! The three day festival was free which included performances, arts and crafts, African drumming and dance for everyone to participate in.

The festival highlighted African culture and was a great event for the community to attend and be a part of. The 35th Annual African Festival took place in the heart of the city at the Charles H. Wright Museum.

The CW50 Street Team had a blast interacting with vendors and dancing to the beat of their own drum. We can't wait to see what great things the festival will have in store next year!
