The CW50 Street Team went green at the Earth Day celebration in Rochester! The city’s Municipal Park was filled with excitement- from booths informing and encouraging people to be more conscious about their environment, to a rock climbing experience for kids. The festival had a little bit of everything for everyone.

Douggles Reith from Strawbale Studio in Oxford, MI said, “If we get out and connect with nature, I think, we can all live better, happy lives,” when talking about sustainable living lifestyles. “It’s a great free event to come to to take your kids and walk around, lots of things to see, and just to celebrate Earth Day,” said Janice Best, attending with her two daughters and two nieces.

It was amazing to see the innovations of people in creating better ways for helping the environment. Some had food made without GMOs and preservatives, and others recycling materials for jewelries and clothing.

The CW50 Street Team learned plenty of ways to help our home that we call Earth. Let’s all take part, even in small ways, to help give our Earth a longer life.
