Andre Drummond Blossoming

If you haven't heard the Detroit Piston are on to a solid start this season. The team is 5 – 2 and are currently ranked third in the NBA power rankings. The team success has everything to do with Andre Drummond their All-Star caliber center. He is setting the tone with his defense and has establish an offensive game that finally measures up to his incredible athletic abilities.

Drummond is averaging unbelievable numbers this season with 20ppg, and 20rpg, no one has numbers like that since the great Wilt Chamberlain. Only two active players have had a single game where they accomplished this stat, Dwight Howard and Al Jefferson. The fact that Drummond is only 22 years old and has been in the league for three years is scary good. The potential is there for him to be the best big man in the game, though some argue that he already is.

His teammates have even acknowledge his jaw-dropping numbers. "I've never seen it ever. He might be the best rebounder I've ever seen. Period," said teammate Marcus Morris after the win against the Portland Trailblazers.

The thing that makes Drummond so special is his determination to be the best and his attitude for wanting to be the leader. After all he tabled negotiations this season and decided that all contracts will be discussed once the season is over. What's important now is winning and continuing his throne in becoming the best big man this season…. The sky's the limit for Drummond, but something tells me he's looking for the footprints on the moon.
