Local Broadcast Legend Shares Advice For Young Journalists

With an outstanding career in broadcast news, this award-winning journalist is no stranger to the camera. Amyre Makupson is a well know Detroit broadcaster. Throughout her 27-year career, Makupson had the chance to get to know so many people and report on many stories about the city of Detroit.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Amyre Makupson. She is truly an inspiring woman, full of wisdom. During my interview Makupson had some encouraging words for individuals wanting to get in this field. "If you want to do it, pursue it," says Amyre who never once missed a call from a young person wanting to learn the ropes of the industry.
