CW50 Street Team Walks For A Cure

Hundreds laced up their sneaker to take one step closer to a finding a cure for breast cancer at the 24th annual Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure in Detroit.

"This is my third time walking this event," says Debbie Furze of the Pink Sneakers of Ferndale. "It's great, it's awesome."

Although the weather was not the best, Nicole Moore, a 5k walker, reminded us that "we're going to work through it," which could not of better captured the spirit of the whole event.

"We are super hero's... and anyone that helps [us] out are hero's too" says celebrating cancer survivor Jill Penna.

And there was no shortage of hero's at today's race helping to get us one step closer to the cure.

The CW50 Street Team looks forward to walking with all the hero's at next years Race For The Cure.
