Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in the world!

When you think of your mother, the first thing that should always come to mind is her loving smile. Whether it's the first hug you share or the day you walk across the graduation stage, there is a bond you two will share no matter what. Mothers are loving and give their all to ensure their child's happiness, even when it means pretending to smile whether they are sad or stressed, just so their baby won't have to worry.

What All Is In A Moms Job Description?

Susan Diranian from Livestrong.com states, "the meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. A mother is a protector, disciplinarian and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children." I can't define a mother any better than that, and the viewpoint of a woman helps to understand even more. I'm sure being a mom is like a full time job with mandatory overtime, consisting of kisses, hugs, meals for the soul and discipline when necessary. Mothers are special, and that's always displayed by the endless lines outside of restaurants on May 10th every year, no matter where you decide to go.

Memories

There are two songs that always make me think of my mom, the first being Boyz II Men, A Song For Mama. The genuine soul of that group singing together about their mothers being the queens of their hearts, and their love being like tears from the stars, perfectly captures the love young men should display for their mothers.

The second song, Dear Mama is by Tupac Shakur. One line in particular stands out to me, in which he says "There's no way I can pay you back, but the plan is to show you that I understand… You are appreciated!" Just like Mr. Shakur, I love my mom with all of my heart, and I hope to one day show her that despite not being able to pay her back, I truly do appreciate everything that she has done!
