Detroit Proud Playlist: Week of 11/10 - Special 'FestivALE' Edition!

The Metro Detroit city of Ferndale is always on the up and up when it comes to the latest and greatest trends in music and festivals – in fact, many of our favorite local bands are from Ferndale. From the DIY Street Art Fair to the Pig and Whiskey Festival, Ferndale is on top of it...always with the best in local music, too.

Back for their second year, One-Eyed Betty's in Ferndale is presenting the FestivALE, which is a 12-hour street-party in downtown Ferndale celebrating the best of Michigan Breweries, Belgian Christmas Beers, cold-weather comfort food from local vendors, and of course, live music from the best Americana bands from around town.

The festival started as a holiday celebration highlighting the release of special Christmas beers in local Michigan Breweries and now has quickly become one of the season's hottest events. It all takes place November 22 at 12pm, in a giant heated tent over the parking lot east of One-Eyed Betty's on Troy Street in downtown Ferndale. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and tickets include admission to the festival, a commemorative cup, and 3 food and drink tokens.

To get the party started early, we thought we'd dedicate this week's playlist to the five local Americana bands that will be performing at this year's FestivALE…
