CW Summer Just Getting Started

The summer season is just getting started on The CW with more new programs set to launch.

Starting July 14th, Monday nights are steered by a handful of bachelors on the verge of discovering what life is all about. Debuting at 8:30 PM is "Backpackers," a series that follows the European adventures of Ryan, an almost-married man with cold feet, and Brandon, his booze-and-babes best friend, as they trek through the foreign country in search of Ryan's fiancé. At 9:30 PM, it is the premiere of another new comedy, "Seed," the story of a slightly ineligible but certainly available bachelor whose past as a sperm donor catches up with his present. In both new series, the men must get a grip on life before it swallows them whole. Throw in new episodes of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (8 PM) and there's an instant cure to those Monday blues.

On Monday, July 28th, 2014's The Young Hollywood Awards kicks off its 16th year of honoring young talent on the rise in the entertainment industry. Tune in at 8:00 PM to see which awards your favorite stars take home.

Wednesday, July 30th at 8:00 PM is the premiere of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us." In this competition, aspiring magicians contend for an opening spot in Penn and Teller's world-famous Vegas show. But if the duo can crack the illusion in their performance, the magicians lose their chance, and the team moves on to the next big trick. The magic continues on Friday, August 1st at 8:00 PM with the premiere of "Masters of Illusion." Hosted by Dean Cain, this former Superman introduces the studio audience to comedic magicians, magnificent illusionists and reckless escape artists.

Tyra Banks returns Friday, August 22nd at 9:00 with the 21st cycle of "America's Next Top Model." Runway coach "Miss" J. Alexander makes his return to the show after a two year hiatus, joining Banks and fashion public relations maven Kelly Cutrone at the judge's panel. In the second "Guys and Girls" edition, fourteen men and women battle in a series of fierce competitions to win a modeling contact, an ad campaign and the career launch of a lifetime.

Comedy, magic and the newest stars in the media- nothing packs the heat quite like this summer at The CW.
