One of the best things about spring is the warmer weather and the chance to finally pack away the heavy sweaters and extra layers. Spring is also the season and introduction back to wearing gorgeous dresses. Spring dresses have a place in every woman's closet and is fit for any individual style.

Dresses are the it-factor to the spring season. It's essential to have the right type of dresses in one's wardrobe to create effortless and stylish looks for the season. Here are six dress styles that should be in your closet for spring:

White Dress

A white dress is ideal for spring and of course, summer. White is neutral enough for various occasions and the perfect palette for accessorizing with bold and colorful statement jewelry. A colored or simple black blazer can pair perfectly with a white dress to create a professional look for the office.

Floral Print

Nothing says spring like a floral print. A floral print dress is very feminine, colorful and an absolute must–have to creating a trendy spring style. A floral dress is easy to dress up or down. They also do not require a lot of accessorizing. Compliment this unique print with a pair of neutral wedges or white strappy sandals for a look that's light, fun, ultra pretty and effortless.

Pastels

Pastel shade dresses offer an easy-going approach to introducing more color into the wardrobe for the season. Starlets like Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong'o have made pastels looking extra stunning this season on the red carpet. Pastels are also versatile enough to be styled with brighter colors and patterns to create show-stopping looks. Go casual or doll it up. The possibilities are endless with a pastel dress.

LBD

The little black dress (LBD) is always in style for any season. But for spring, try a LBD that's perhaps, sleeveless, backless, or that has some cutouts. It's important to have a couple different options for each season. Spring offers a fashionista the chance to embrace lighter layers so choose a LBD that's befitting for this lighter season.

Print

Print dresses offer many options for the season and are a great way to create a unique look. A print dress can work well with leggings for the not-so-warm days and look just as pretty with a pair of heels on sunnier, warmer days. Print dresses can create any look and are trending in major way this year.

Bright Color

Embrace the season with dresses that have colors that are bright and pop. Save the neon colors for summer. Instead, try implementing colors like bright orange, royal blue, and fuscia for spring. The basic idea is to ditch the warm layers and tones of winter by mixing in the fresh brightness that vibrant colors can offer. For the cool spring mornings and nights, add a black, white, or neutral small knit sweater to keep warm.
