Cowabunga! D-Lux Entertainment Expo Highlights

What could be better than combining mixed martial arts and comics? Well try throwing in a room packed full of Ninja Turtles and you have the first annual D-Lux Entertainment Expo held at the Mount Clemens Gibraltar Trade Center. Coordinator of the event, Adam Lux said, "I joined karate when I was four years old because of turtles, so why not combine the two?"

With that combination in mind, our CW50 Street Team jumped at the chance to celebrate cowabunga style with these Ninja Turtles. They attempted to break the world record for how many people could be dressed up as the characters in one room. There was a representation of turtles in every size and age.

Also at the event were mixed martial arts demos and even a competition held on Saturday. Professional wrestling legend Bill Goldberg stopped in to show his support for the event. He said, "the reason I come out to these events, since I don't wrestle, is it is the only opportunity I have to get out to the public."

Local Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle superfan and Cowabunga Corner blogger Michele Ivey got into character wearing her Michelangelo costume. "I love CW50! Cowabunga!" she said. Aw ... We love you too Michele.

The CW50 Street Team was so inspired by all the different costumes that they are now hard at work creating their own for next year's event!
