The CW50 Street Team Plays with Animals at the Novi Pet Expo!

The Suburban Collection Showplace became home to the furry, feathered, and scaly when animals took over for the Novi Pet Expo. The three-day event was a celebration of all types of  pets including dogs, cats, birds, horses, snakes, and lizards. The Pet Expo featured many different animal rescue organizations, allowing people to admire the animals and potentially adopt a new pet.

Families and children were also able to see the animals in action! At the Rock-N-Roll and Classic K9 shows, dogs performed tricks and participated in agility runs for a cheering crowd. Some of the dogs also competed in the Ultimate Air Dog Challenge, where they were judged based on how far they could jump into a pool of water.

Many people even brought their own dogs to the event and dressed them in creative outfits and costumes. Lily Betten brought along her tiny dog Pippa, dressed in a pink t-shirt and denim skirt. When asked if she always dresses her dog, Lily replied, "When we go to events like these!"

Street Team Members Jennifer and Krystle had the chance to learn about and interact with many of the animals at the event. While visiting the reptiles and amphibians, Krystle stopped to talk with Eric Tobin. Eric, President of the Michigan Society of Herpetologists,  said "We've got reptiles from all over the world. We have lizards, snakes, salamanders, and frogs."

The CW50 Street Team had a great time with the animals at the 2013 Novi Pet Expo!
