The CW50 Street Team Shows Off Their True Colors For Earth Day

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is a model that many of us were taught in school, the CW50 Street Team got to see this model put to good use first hand at the Michigan Earth Day event hosted in Downtown Rochester. Music, organic food, baby animals, and some very well trained dogs where all featured at the event. Nick, with Sit Means Sit dog training, had some very active and well behaved pooches. According to Nick any dog can be trained at any age, you just have to put the time into it. "As long as the dog is in good health and activity level… there's not a reason to not work with them and train."

The event had information about everything you would need to know to help keep this planet healthy and green. Aaron got a lesson on fracking and why it's important to put an end to it. Ben from the Food and Water Watch said, fracking is short for hydraulic fracturing. This may contribute to water and air pollution.

Many other community awareness groups were at the event as well. The Street Team got info on how companies are doing their part to help clean up earth and make it a greener planet. People are doing everything from repurposing unused medical supplies to riding their bikes for to help lower carbon footprints.
