This week on Street Beat, 98.7 AMP Radio's Roxanne Steele hosts the show and talks to Faith Boone, a local resident who recently took part in the Disney Dreamers Academy mentoring program.

Then, Karen Palk, Founder of A Beautiful Me, sits down with Roxanne to explain her program that promotes positive self-esteem and confidence for young women.

Next, we are joined by Kate Davis, the Executive Director for the Sojourner Foundation, which gives funding to projects aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of women. Angela Aufdemberge, President and CEO of Vista Maria, was a recent recipient of one of their grants and explains its impact.

Finally, Grenaé Dudley, President and CEO of The Youth Connection, Inc., joins Roxanne to talk about what her organization is doing to create a group of future leaders for the city of Detroit.
