CW50 Shows Score People's Choice Awards, Stars Tweet

Congratulations to the winners of last night's People's Choice Awards and an extra shout out to The CW shows "Supernatural" and "Beauty And The Beast."

If you're not watching already, you can tune in to "Supernatural" Wednesdays at 9 p.m. and "Beauty and the Beast" Thursdays at 9 p.m.

People's Choice is the original public awards show. It provides fans with a way to get their two cents in on which shows and stars get the awards.

For the past 37 years, many of Hollywood's most popular actors, musicians, television shows and movies have been named People's Choice Award winners by their fans. The event began in 1975 with 14 categories; winners included Mary Tyler Moore, Barbra Streisand and The Sting. In 2010, there were over 40 categories, honoring Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp and The Proposal.

"Beauty And The Beast" won for Favorite New TV Drama.
