Street Beat: Autism Issues – Diagnosis, Treatment, Healthcare

This week on Street Beat, Host Syma Chowdhry focuses on autism ... living with autism/parenting a child with autism, its symptoms, treatments, health care issues, and the upcoming Walk Now for Autism Speaks fundraiser.

Syma's guests include Anthony Ianni former MSU NCAA Basketball Player who is on the spectrum and now works full-time at the Autism Alliance of Michigan; Tom Riopelle, Midwest Regional Director, Autism Speaks; Dr. Mary Sharp of the Autism Alliance of Michigan; Stefan Kogler, Co-Chair, Marketing and Communications Autism Speaks- Michigan, architect of the Michigan is Listening; Rich Ansell, Walk Now for Autism Speaks walk co-chair; Jon Witz, CEO of Jon Witz and Associates, a marketing firm that creates events; and Scott St. Clair, Co-Chair of Walk Now for Autism Speaks.

All guests are parents of children on the autism spectrum with the exception of Ianni, who is on the spectrum himself.
