If there is one thing you know about me, it’s that I get really excited about clothes, shoes, and fashion in general. At Hour Detroit‘s Best Dressed Celebration, I was in heaven!!!
Metro Detroit’s most fabulous came out to Hour Detroit’s first-annual Best Dressed Celebration. I hate to admit that I underestimated this great city, but I honestly had no idea that Detroit could represent like that!!!
The Best Dressed winners were dressed to impressed (as expected), but those in attendance were looking fab too!!! I found myself staring at sequins, furs, and layers of chain necklaces as I mixed and mingled through Art Van Furniture in Royal Oak. The ladies of the D were on trend and looking good!READ MORE: 133,000 People Remain Under Boil Water Advisory In Michigan, Could Take Weeks Before Water Is Safe To Drink
I continued to observe flattering dresses, bold hues, animal prints, and color blocking as I stocked up on delicious foods provided by local restaurants and vendors and Yellow Tail sparkling bubbles. Yummm, with the food, fashion, and champagne flowing, I knew I was floating on cloud nine! This event has to be my fave so far!
The night continued with dessert, champagne, and a fashion show. Art Van had transformed into Bryant Park…a beautiful runway had taken over half of the store. I took my seat and watched attentively as the Best Dressed and models alike graced the runway in holiday looks from Neiman Marcus.READ MORE: Salvation Army Collecting Supplies For Back To School Drive
The department store showed everything from fur vests, to fun frocks, and fabulous gowns. I definitely gathered some inspiration for unlikely combinations of color and layers. I can’t wait to go shopping and try out some new and improved looks!
After the show, we were introduced to each Best Dressed winner. It was fun to see the range of style and personality that had made this year’s list! All good choices!!! Be sure to check out Hour Detroit’s November issue – on stands now – for a complete list of winners.
