Sunday, July 31st, on Street Beat, Host Syma Chowdhry turned the show over to the correspondents who heard from different groups that are working to build stable families -- and a stable community.

Up first, Michael E Williams, President and CEO for Orchards Children's Services and Attorney Taylor Segue, a long-time Orchards Board Member tell Community Correspondent Eddie Connor about adoption options and other programs to help children. In the second segment, Eddie is joined by Jean Reinbold from Girlstown Foundation who explains their programs for children in need of temporary care. Next, Cindy Kainz speaks with Sharman Davenport, Executive Director of Lighthouse PATH, and learns how they provide single mothers with resources, safe and affordable housing, guidance and peace of mind. Finally, Community Correspondent Ken Bryant discusses the upcoming Arise! Detroit Neighborhoods Day with Walter Fly, the Director from Ford Memorial United Methodist Church's Stop the Youth Violence Rally and Arise Detroit's Operations Manager, Marcus Harris.
