With Eminem and Jay-Z performing an epic show at Comerica Park, huge stars calling this a second home as they film Hollywood’s next blockbusters, we’ve taken what could easily be a modern-day depression and found the glass half-full.
In light of such an outlook, one of Detroit’s most popular alternative news outlets, Metro Times, brings us their “Best Of” issue. This issue highlights the BEST Detroit has to offer. You voted on everything from Best Restaurant to Best Statue to Commission after Robocop!
The DGGs and I gladly accepted an invitation to the celebration at Soundboard (located inside MotorCity Casino). Complimentary food and drinks only brushed the surface on the capacity of FUN had at this annual event. The Detroit Derby Girls rolled around us as a live marching band stepped from room to room. My cheeks still hurt from all of the laughing and smiles shared throughout the night.
