Livin' This Champagne Life

Lauren and I had plenty to celebrate at Champagne Life at the Hamilton Room in Birmingham!  We got to meet Ne-Yo and talk to him about the things he's toasting to this year. 

As 2010 comes to a close, we were able to sit down and talk to the R&B and pop singer-songwriter about his new album, Libra Scale, and the birth of his daughter, Chimere. If you ask me, those are both great reasons to pop Moet!  For this artist, dreams and reality are one and the same! 

During the interview, Ne-Yo gushed about the love he has for his daughter.  He nearly brought Lauren and I to tears as he discussed the challenges and the joys of fatherhood.  The Telekinesis singer also touched on how his daughter has inspired him, along with Michael Jackson, in his work.  We all can see the many similarities between Ne-Yo and the late King of Pop, but in the  Champagne Life interview, Ne-Yo candidly told us that it was more than that…..he taught himself to sing listening to MJ.  Personally I'm glad that Ne-Yo's mother gave him Michael's album, Off the Wall, at a young age.  The world has been blessed with a great performer as a result! 

After talking to him for few minutes, Ne-Yo poured us each a glass of Moet, and we toasted to Champagne Life, Ne-Yo's exciting year, and a great night of celebration at Birmingham's swankiest night spot with one of my favorite celebs!
