DIY Fun At Ferndale Street Fair

Looking for a good time this weekend? You could turn to the professionals, but where's the fun in that? Do it yourself. The DIY Street Fair runs Friday through Sunday in fabulous downtown Ferndale. Visitors will find local artists, crafters, musicians, restaurants, food trucks, brewers, a kids zone and much more. The theme celebrates locally sourced goods, creative energy, free and independent spirit and innovation. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.

Like your music raw? This is the place to be. Forget the producer-polished national acts at other local street fairs. This is pure, raw local talent from bands like Electric Graffiti, Suicide Machines, Flint Eastwood, Thunderbirds Are Now!, The Sights, The Hand Grenades, and more. Click here for a complete lineup.

Restaurant Row

Restaurant Row will offer the best of local restaurants and food trucks. There will be vegetarian fare from Om Cafe, something for the meat lovers from Corridor Sausage Co., Mexican fare from El Guapo, desert from Treat Dreams!, and many others. Check out the complete list.

The event is open 6 p.m.- midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and Noon to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Parking

Head for the municipal parking lots that run behind all the businesses along 9 Mile in downtown Ferndale, especially those west of Woodward.

Non-motorized travel is encouraged.
