Oakland County: The Best Place To Raise A Family In Michigan

Oakland County is the place to be according to a recent poll on Wallethub. Rochester Hills, Beverly Hills, Novi, South Lyon, Troy and Birmingham all made the top ten places in Michigan to raise a family. The poll was separated into categories including affordable living, education, economics, entertainment and safety to name a few. None of the remaining cities in the top ten share a county, leaving Oakland the obvious choice.

Some wouldn't believe that Oakland County has some the most affordable living. All of the places in Oakland recognized as top ten cities were also rated highly in affordability. If you don't have to pay as much for a house you will have more money for family activities. Hiking, swimming and playing sports are an option at any of Oakland's beautiful parks. Bay Court Park in Clarkston, Drake Sports Park in West Bloomfield and Orion Oaks Park in Orion Lake are just three of the many Oakland County recreation areas that are rated above four stars.

Another highlight of this poll was the fact that all six cities have great education systems. Imagine sending your child off to school every day and not having to worry whether they are going to get the care they deserve. With fieldtrip opportunities in every direction, Oakland County schools have it made.

A report on Apartmentlist.com ranked Rochester Hills as number seven out of the top ten places to raise a family in the United States! The nicest part about living in Oakland County is that you get the luxuries and entertainment of city life along with the peace and serenity of the country in reach.

With all the economic growth taking place in southeastern Michigan right now there will most likely be an influx of people moving to this area within the next few years. Make your move fast! if you're settling down and want to find a good place to raise a family, you can't go wrong in Oakland County.
