Revival Of Frequency

By Zuri Cheathem, CBS 62/CW50 Intern

Frequency is back again! Or so it seems.

It's been 16 years since the original film version of Frequency came to theaters. This fall, it's being stretched and twisted into a television series on The CW, but there's been some changes in the storyline.  The show will cover the same basic plot as the film, but the movie version features Jim Caviezel as police detective John Sullivan.  The CW pilot follows female detective Raimy Sullivan played by Peyton List.  Both characters discover their father's old CB radio and realize they are somehow able to speak to their father, Frank, before his murder. Realizing they are speaking to each other, Raimy (and John in the movie version) uses the radio to save him from his murder.

There's always a positive and negative of changing time… the butterfly effect takes its course and changes present time for Raimy. Discovering there's been unexpected changes in her life, she uses the radio to reach to the past of 1996 once again to try to prevent them.

Frequency can be described as a mystery science fiction drama television series, that you don't want to miss!  Check it out this fall, when it premieres Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 9pm eastern on CW50! Stay tuned and visit Frequency social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for any upcoming news!
