The Best Hour has Come!
Only the best gathered for the 11th annual "Best of Detroit Party." The event was held at MotorCity Casino Hotel and everyone in attendance enjoyed great food, music and company. Vendors lined the ballroom handing out samples of their best cuisine to attendees.
This yearly event is planned by Hour Detroit Magazine and this year the publication is celebrating 20 years so why not invite everyone's friends said Lauren Mohon, who serves as the marketing and events director for the magazine.
Over 30 restaurants from all across metro-Detroit were on hand to offer a little taste of why they were chosen by readers as the best. Each year the June issue gives readers the opportunity to see the best that Detroit has to offer from great restaurants to salons readers vote and the magazine features those winners.
"It's been really nice to try different food from the area that we have not heard of before, we will definitely have to go and check out all of these restaurants," said Carly VanMeter, who is a first-timer at the event and happened to win tickets on the radio.
Musical performances from the Killer Flamingos, Jason Sykes and DJCAPTN20 graced the Sound Board stage and made the people dance. Guests enjoyed food from Buddy's Pizza, The Donut Bar, Taste Love Cupcakes, Zoup!, Beyond Juicery + Eatery and from many more places.
The CW50 Street Team had a great time celebrating 20 years with Hour Detroit. We are excited to join in all of the fun again next year!
