The Polar Plunge Hits Metro Detroit

The CW50 Street Team plunged through the 3rd Annual St. Clair Shores Aqua Freeze. During this three day event (Friday to Sunday), the organizers offered ice sculptures, music, games, carriage rides, and the main event, the polar plunge.
This year, almost 20 people jumped from the dock into the cold 38 degree water. Before her jump, Bianca Whitcher, a first time "polar plunger" said, "I am nervous!" Linda Bologna explained that people participate in the event to check off their bucket list, as well as to support the cause. Those who did not dare to take on the icy challenge stood on the side, and cheered on the participants.
After watching brave men and women take the leap into the frigid lake, some of the Street Team Members are anxious to try it themselves next year. So will you take the plunge with us?
