After months of anticipation and teasers, the Balmain x H&M Collection will be available this week for purchase. The fashion-forward collection is a designer collaboration of Parisian haute couture fashion house, Balmain with department store H&M that has gained plenty of media attention. Balmain's Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing is bringing the fashion powerhouse's signature style to the masses of young fashionistas everywhere.
Balmain is known for its luxurious and powerful looks that feature structure, embellishments, and impeccable tailoring. Therefore, there is a lot expected of the new collection for H&M. Previews of the looks prove that Rousteing knows all the right touches to provide that same high level of fashion to the public.
"Balmain is about tradition and technique but also youth and the new generation," says Rousteing. Rihanna and Kim Kardashian are among some of the celebrities that frequently wear the designer line.
The Balmain x H&M Collection is fresh, chic, and edgy. It provides a very luxe and haute couture look that is not readily seen or let alone, available everyday in department stores.
The use of vibrant and dark colors, rich fabrics, and most importantly, the bold embellishments are what stamp the Balmain collection. For example, some of the many beautiful pieces include a black velvet dress with a braided detail that creates a embroidery effect, a plunging v-neck dress with green sequins, and a long velvet jacket that is embroidered with stones and pearls.
