The CW50 Street Team Walks With Easter Seals of Michigan at The Detroit Zoo

The CW50 Street Team got a chance to meet some amazing people at the 2015 Walk With Me event, hosted by the Easter Seals of Michigan. Event goers of all ages came out to walk and celebrate for a great cause. Every year the Easter Seals host this event to raise money and awareness for individuals with disabilities or special needs. It's also a time to celebrate achievements and a great place for families to come together.

The Detroit Zoo is the perfect location for this event. Families got to spend the entire day at the zoo visiting the animals and enjoying the great weather. Elsa from Frozen, Mario from Mario and Luigi, Batman, and other characters all come out for this event. Music and face painting filled the day with excitement and laughter.  Easter Seals child ambassador Emily (Punky) Lickman, was overjoyed to talk about all the great accomplishments Easter Seals has made throughout the year. Punky, as she is often called, is highly involved with raising money for The Miracle League of Michigan. The league helps kids with disabilities play baseball and learn team skills. When Street Team member Krystle Anderson asked Punky if she was excited to be here, Punky shouted with enthusiasm, "Very excited to be here." She also encourages everyone to donate to The Miracle League as well.

The Street Team had an amazing time at this event and urges everyone to donate to The Miracle League or The Easter Seals of Michigan to help support the community and families in need of assistance.
