CW50 Street Team Meets New Best Friends at The Detroit Zoo

Hundred of best friends were made this weekend at the Detroit Zoo Meet Your Best Friend day.

"We adopt out five or six hundred animals throughout the two days" explained Ryan McTigue, Promotions Coordinator for the Michigan Humane Society.

The event started in 1993 and has since adopted out over twenty thousand animals.

Meet Your Best Friend Day is a one stop shop for people to come and adopt animals that might not have time to visit all of the rescues also noted McTique.

Janet from Providing For Paws says this is her first year helping out with the event but already loves it and hopes that it will help even more animals find new loving homes.
