After a year break, Fashion In Detroit (FID) is back in a major way to celebrate its 4th anniversary with plenty in store for local fashion lovers to enjoy. FID was created in 2009 by local designer and Project Runway alum, Joe Faris. Now, with a short time away, the favorite event promises to return with the same unique experiences it has provided in previous years.

Fashion In Detroit 2014 will be held Saturday, September 27th from 4:00pm to 2:00am at the Motor City Casino's Sound Board. The runway shows will feature looks from local, national and upcoming designers to present a versatile one-day event.

Market Detroit, an interactive pop-up shop, will be held from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Market Detroit will feature local designers, retailers, vendors, and entrepreneurs.

Essentially, it is an ideal place to meet the fashion designers behind the runway looks and even buy some of the looks.

The student runway show will take place from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Afterwards, the local and national designer runway show will be held from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. In addition, Styleshack's Social Media Lounge will provide a venue for local fashion bloggers to network, Tweet, Instagram, and Facebook all the major runway looks and excitement during the FID's several runway shows.

FID After Glow will follow all the fashion festivities from 9:30pm to 2:00am with a chic, club atmosphere in Sound Board to end the evening. To purchase tickets and to learn more about Fashion In Detroit, visit fashionindetroit.com. Proceeds from FID will benefit local charities.
