CW50 Street Team explores Ann Arbor Street Art Fair

Ceramic cows, glow-in-the-dark light bulbs and everything in-between were just a few of the sights one could see at the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair this weekend.

Our CW50 Street Team soaked in the art of more than 100 artists' stands filled to the brim with eclectic pieces.

Some such pieces were the ceramics created by artist Christine Green. She and her husband have been coming to the art fair since 1976. That's 38 years.

"I love the focus on art," said Green. "It's a joy to come here."

Another artist is Peter Patterson. He creates glow-in-the-dark light bulbs. He's been participating in the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair for over 10 years.

"I've been doing art all my life, Patterson said. "Since kindergarten, I just knew I wanted to be an artist."

Vendors and buyers alike traveled from all areas of the country in order to participate in the art fair.

Lynn Cebula hails from Palm Harbor, Florida. She came all the way to the mitten just to sell her colorful clocks.

"I love the art fair," Cebula said. "It's like our seventh year here."

The art featured at the event came in all colors, shapes and sizes. In other words, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

"My favorite was this sports one that had different kinds of Detroit stuff," said Garrett Tupace.

"I like a lot of the jewelry," said Julie Rinn.

All in all, the art fair had plenty to offer and keeps people coming back for more. The CW50 Street Team is excited to see what the artists have to offer next year.
