Cool out this summer with family and friends at the Wayne County Family Aquatic Center. Wayne County's largest water park has a capacity of 2,000 and is a smoke and alcohol free facility. It's located on Detroit's eastside off Conner just south of the I-94 freeway.

"Swimming and playing at the aquatic center is a great way to beat the summer heat," said Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano.

The Aquatic center is the perfect place to receive the ultimate water park experience. Featuring two 23 foot super-sized water slides and a way cool wave pool for teens and adults to enjoy.

Children can cool down under special spray fountains and enjoy playing in kiddie splish-splash land. Safety is the priority at the Family Aquatic and certified lifeguards are on duty at all times.

"Wayne County is proud to be part of the 17th season of fun at one of the best water parks in Michigan," said Ficano.

Mascots Wally the Whale and Dolly the Dolphin are available for special events held throughout the summer. Family reunions, birthday parties, and other group events can be planned for full-day water park activities.
