Lacrosse Player Of The Year Narrows, Baseball Playoffs Heat Up

By: Ashley Raymond

DETROIT, MI -- Memorial weekend allowed schools around the mitt to give kids a short week in the books but that didn't impact the spring sports season.

This week Lorne Plant and Sean Baligian narrow down our Warrior Sports Michigan High School Lacrosse Player of the Year Race to our top four players! We'll give you a hint, just one attackman remains in the line up.

The show is jam packed with lots of lacrosse action this week. Detroit Catholic Central and Clarkston met Troy Athens. Find out who takes home the Division1 Regional Title. And Novi and Northville met at West Bloomfield for a rivalry match you don't want to miss.

Girls lacrosse also sneaks in the lineup as Birmingham United travels to Bloomfield Hills for a pre regional. One team comes back from behind to win it all.

David Faes takes us inside the Bishop Foley baseball team. The Ventures are looking to get their fourth state title in a row, a record in the making.

Tom Markowski is back in the house for the Inside Buzz with Lorne Plant. Find out what Tom has to say about aluminum vs. wood bats in high school baseball and if players and coaches think it'd be a good change.

Our main event took us two days to film due to the rain but we finally got it. Brother Rice baseball took on West Bloomfield at Groves and it was a close one. In addition, our ninth heavy hitter comes from the 31-2-1 Warrior team.

Spring Sports are wrapping up and we'll have all the playoff highlights on State Champs! Sports Network so keep us on the DVR.

The previous week's show is available on-demand by Monday afternoon.
