Boys Basketball State Finals Take Over!

Last weekend boys basketball teams from around Michigan stormed the Breslin Student Events Center, with one goal: to become state champions.

State Champs! Sports Network was there and has all the action.

In the Class A finals, Muskegon took on the 24-3 boys from Bloomfield Hills. Earlier last week, Deshaun Thrower was rewarded the Mr. Basketball title, he now sets out to assist the Big Reds in their undefeated season.

In the Class B finals, Milan hits the court at Michigan State University to challenge Benton Harbor. The road to the Breslin wasn't easy for the guys wearing red and black. The season started off rough with an 0-2 start but say it's remembering those loses that has pushed them this far.

Moving on to the Class C finals, it's Detroit Consortium verses Pewamo-Westphalia. Coming into the contest the Cougars had never taken home state championship hardware. In this game, it's a battle on the hardwood as Josh Jackson let's his play on the court do all the talking.

In Class D, we get fired up with the student section of Southfield Christian as the team takes on Adrian Lenawee Christian. You're not going to want to blink in this one as the game is neck and neck until the final moments of the game.

For our main event, we go outside to check out some girls lacrosse as Hartland travels to Ann Arbor Pioneer.

As we do each and every week, Tom Markowski and Lorne Plant are inside the State Champs! studio for the Inside Buzz. It's a jammed packed show full of action that you don't want to miss so remember, if it's Sunday ... it's State Champs!

Make sure to connect with us on Twitter @statechampsnet and remember to like us on Facebook. Remember, when the clock strikes noon on Sunday it's always STATE CHAMPS!

The previous week's show is available on-demand by Monday afternoon.
