Local Bands Come Together For Covenant House Fundraiser

Looking for weekend plans? Well, look no further, local music lovers.

Saturday night (March 29th) brings a 5-band bill to Hamtramck's New Dodge Lounge - and trust us, this is one show you won't want to miss.

Headlined by Detroit rock band SICK, Saturday's bill also features performances from fellow rockers Le Voyage, Seven Birds One Stone, 500 Club, and Emily Rose. And that's not all - 100% of show proceeds will benefit Covenant House Michigan.

Suggested donation is five bucks for those 21+ (and ten bucks for those under 21). All ages are welcome, and doors open at 8pm. The New Dodge Lounge is located at 8850 Joseph Campau in Hamtramck.

Five bands for five bucks? That's a dollar a band, and all going to a great cause. It doesn't get much better than that.

Not familiar with Covenant House? Let's change that. Covenant House is a Detroit area non-profit that "provides hope to homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth ages 13-22," according to a statement on their official website. Covenant House assists these young men and women with finding shelter, seeking employment, bettering their education, and finding alternatives to violence, drugs, and gangs.

What could be more #DetroitProud than supporting these local musicians...who are supporting the next generation of our great city?

I think we know what you're going to be doing on Saturday...
