'Veronica Mars' Digital Spin-Off To Feature Ryan Hansen's Dick Casablancas

The CW president Mark Pedowitz announced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that a Veronica Mars digital spin-off is in the works for a web only series.

The show will join "Husbands" and "Backpackers" among others on CW Seed.

"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas Tweeted to confirm some details of the show and it's focus on Ryan Hansen's Dick Casablancas character.

Reports indicate that the series will consist of 8, 10-minute episodes. No date has been set for the show's premiere.

The show was driven by the success of the Veronica Mars movie set to premiere March 14.
