This week on Street Beat, host Jim Johnson from 104.3 WOMC honors our military heroes of the past.
First, Johnson introduces a special package on the World War II Willow Run bomber plant and the efforts to save this part of Michigan’s history. The package features WWJ Newsradio 950’s Tom Jordan and was shot by Emmy-award winning photo-journalist Paul Pytlowany.
Then, Ray Hunter and Randy Hotten, Board Members for the Yankee Air Museum, stop by to update Jim on the bid to save the bomber plant as well as sharing the latest news about the Yankee Air Museum.
Next, Scott Fader, the founder of Suits for Soldiers, and Christy Rowe, the President of the Board, explains how this organization is helping veterans settle into life after deployment.
Finally, Michael Harris of the Michigan Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America stops by to talk about what that organization is doing to help our vets.
