The CW50 Street Team Had a Great Time at Arts, Beats & Eats!

Every year artists, musicians, and food lovers come together in Downtown Royal Oak for the Arts, Beats & Eats Festival. The four-day event showcases fine art, local and national musicians, and a wide assortment of great tasting foods. Arts, Beats, & Eats always draws a huge crowd, and this year was no different. Despite the overcast skies, thousands of people came out to experience the festival. The music line-up featured a variety of bands, including Eddie Money and country duo Montgomery Gentry.

While many people attend the festival for the music and art, some come strictly for the food. When asked about his favorite part of Arts, Beats & Eats, Bob Flynn quickly responded "the eats". From homemade chocolate chip cookies to freshly cooked grilled chicken, the festival was a food lover's dream. The Street Team stopped to talk to Steven Mac, a cook at the festival, as he flipped chicken on an outdoor grill. Steven admitted he loves being a part of the festival, saying "the customers are lovely and there's a nice atmosphere".

During the festival, country radio station 99.5 WYCD was broadcasting live from Royal Oak. The CW50 Street Team's Jennifer Buhaj talked with WYCD Radio Personality Rob Stone about his involvement in the annual festival. When asked about Arts, Beats & Eats Rob said, "I love it! We're here every year. I'm looking forward to seeing local bands and some national bands".
