Steve Harvey Is Looking For You
DETROIT—CBS 62 / CW50's own Steve Harvey is bringing his mentoring program to Detroit. If you are a young man that meets the requirements, he's looking for you!
"The Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men" is a two day, two night interactive program designed to share and teach the principles of manhood to young men between the ages of 13 and 18. They must reside in Detroit and live in a household headed by a single mother. The participants must also be enrolled in grades 8-12 at the time of submission. The program helps young men realize their potential and helps them to envision and prepare for a future where they are strong, responsible and productive men. Deadline for submission is September 2nd.
Steve Harvey wants to invite those eligible young men to participate in this opportunity September 27th -29th at the Northwest Activity Center located on Meyers Road just North of 6 Mile.
Steve Harvey's goal is to break some of the misguided traits of youth, and create a generation of men who are emotionally, socially and economically strong. The program includes workshops that focus on personal responsibility, dream building, and the importance of nutrition and physical fitness. In addition, the participants are introduced to positive male role models who are leaders in various areas such as business and the local community.
