The CW50 Street Team Meets Passionate Artists At The Ann Arbor Art Fair

Artists and art lovers united as the Ann Arbor Art Fair took over the streets of uptown Ann Arbor. As one of the largest street art fairs in the country, the annual event always draws a huge crowd. Each year some of the best local and traveling artists gather in Ann Arbor to showcase their crafts and fine art to the public. Despite the 90 degree temperatures, the streets were packed with people looking to appreciate art and have a good time. The Main Street Area of Ann Arbor provided the perfect setting for the festival. The streets were lined with tent after tent showcasing creative and unique art displays. Some displays included picturesque landscape paintings, animal sculptures, photographs, and hand-crafted jewelry. Kids and families also had a blast listening to live music and playing games for prizes at the CW50 tent!

The CW50 Street Team wandered through the fair grounds to capture all of the action. After talking with many of the artists at the event, it became clear that the artists are all truly passionate about art and were happy to be able to show off their work. Gwen Bennett, displaying a creative collection of clocks, even compared the Ann Arbor Art Fair to Christmas! She went on to say, "After 20 years I feel like I need to do the Ann Arbor Art Fair because it's a part of my yearly event".

Robert Deurloo, an expert sculptor, called the Art Fair a 'great show' and said that he traveled 2,000 miles just to be a part of it. He continued to praise the fair, saying that "The crowds come out and they're enthusiastic and some save their money all year to buy my work!"

The CW50 Street Team had a wonderful time learning about and admiring art at this year's Ann Arbor Art Festival!
