Intern Insider: Exceeding The Ordinary Is CBS 62/CW50

My summer break has been extremely eventful. CBS 62/CW50 is providing me with experience to enhance my communications skills.

A few weeks ago, I assisted on a commercial shoot for Taylor Chevrolet. I helped with the actual equipment and the talent. It was amazing to be able to exercise both of my passions of being behind the camera as well as in front of the camera. My previous singing experience allowed me to make talent comfortable by giving her performance tips.

I had the opportunity to be a part of the production crew for the Michigan Chronicle's Pancakes and Politics Breakfast Forum again. However, it was in a different capacity. I listened in on the forum and transcribed the entire conversation along with Megan Shire, my co-intern. I have learned to network and use great production etiquette.

Over this time, I have written numerous web stories from Pet Safety to The CW shows. I viewed the pilot of "The Tomorrow People" and was immediately interested. I do not watch many television shows but this one had my complete attention. Make sure you tune in (hint).  I researched what Naima Mora (America's Next Top Model Cycle 4 Winner) was currently doing and found that she is A Modeling Rock Performer. Mora even tweeted me expressing her appreciation and love for Detroit.

Recently, I went on another shoot with two of CBS 62/CW50 producers. We had a great time shooting a commercial for Basha Diagnostics. It is incredible how I acquire so much from various career fields. The technicians of Basha gave our crew insight of the human body. This field experience is magnificent!

Lastly, I spoke with account executive Christina Wynns about my career. She encouraged me to accomplish all of my dreams. Wynns told me the importance of starting while young to cultivate my career. Every time I turn around CBS 62/CW50 staff member is cheering me on. Everyone here is open to help guide me towards excellence. CBS 62/CW50 is by far the best experience I have ever had!
