Detroit Bands To Play At Metro Times Pig & Whiskey Festival

Back for its third year, the Metro Times Pig & Whiskey festival is kicking off their weekend of fun, food, drinks, games, and local music, tonight in downtown Ferndale. Once again, Metro Times is partnering with Woodward Avenue Brewers to close off East Troy Street for this 2.5 day-long festival.

There will be food from some of the best Metro Detroit restaurants, including Slows BBQ, Redsmoke Barbeque, Corridor Sausage Co., Detroit BBQ Company, Rub BBQ Pub, and more. And of course, it wouldn't be a Pig & Whiskey festival without the whiskey – so if you're on the 21 and up list – get ready to drink the delectable tastes from of a long list of whiskeys, or perhaps one of the specially-made whiskey cocktails.

And let's get down to the best part. Did we also mention there will be free concerts in the streets of downtown Ferndale? We thought you might be interested. While you're there enjoying the tastes of Metro Detroit and the drinks of tasty whiskeys, also excite yourself for the impressive set list of local bands and artists. Some of the names on the set list for the weekend you may have already seen on our CW50 Weekly Detroit Proud Playlists, but just to name a few, there's also: The Hounds Below, Flint Eastwood, Paper Sound, The Blueflowers, Alexis, and much, much more.

Check out the full set list below!

The Metro Times Pig & Whiskey festival is sure to promise fun, delicious food and drinks, and great live music for a summer festival filled with Detroit culture. The show starts tonight at 6pm in downtown Ferndale and goes all weekend – and, don't worry, they've promised they'd be there rain or shine.
