Enjoy an evening of art, fashion, dancing and cocktails under the stars at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Neiman Marcus and Founders Junior Council have partnered up to host this year’s Fash Bash.

Fash Bash is annual fundraiser that Founders Junior Council of the DIA has held since 1970 that celebrates fashion and beautiful art. Proceeds from the event will go towards directly supporting the DIA’s new endowment campaign to help ensure the museum’s sustainability.

This year’s event includes a cocktail party, a Neiman Marcus “Art of Fashion” runway show, and late-night dancing. Fash Bash is a unique event that requires a dress-to-impress look. Luckily, there are several different ways a fashionista could style herself.

Accessories are everything at events such as Fash Bash. They can add that perfect touch to an already stylish outfit or wake up a simply-stated outfit. It all depends on the styling.

Statement jewelry is a must for accessorizing. Picking jewelry that sparkles and/or has a lot of color is ideal for completing a fashionable look. Jewelry is also an elegant way to top off any look for this chic event.

Shoes and summer scarves are also great ways to bring an artistic flair to a look. Embrace shoes and scarves with pops of color. Try pairing these eye-catching fashion accessories with a simple black or white dress to create a clean or colorful outfit.

The fashion possibilities are endless for this one-of-a-kind event — be fearlessly stylish.

Fash Bash 2013 will be held on Thursday, August 15 on the front steps of the DIA museum. For more information on Fash Bash 2013 and to purchase tickets, visit DIA’s website.
