A Modeling Rock Performer

"Cycle 20 of America's Next Top Model" (ANTM) returns Friday, August 28. For the first time ever, the show will showcase both guys and girls. Ever wonder what happened to some of ANTM's past favorites?

From the catwalk to rocking audiences with her vocal musicality, who knew former America's Next Top Model winner Naima Mora was a vocalist.

Naima Mora is a Detroit native who became part of The CW family in 2005. She came on the scene as a model being crowned ANTM Season 4 and is now a member of "Galaxy of Tar." This is a rock group formed back in 2009. Naima considers herself a writer, music and recording artist, and a model. Ultimately, she is just a young person like any other. Naima notes that she is pursuing her passions in a world of growing pains.

Post America's Next Top Model, Naima released "Naima Mora's Model Behavior" book.  It expresses to readers how to build healthy relationships, challenge oneself, reach success and various other topics. Naima also highlights some of her performances in a digital version of this book. She comes from a very talented family: a jazz vocalist and entrepreneur mother and a Mexican jazz percussionist as a father. Maybe this would explain her rocking vocals?

Visit Galaxy of Tar's website to stay connected with Naima's upcoming appearances.
